For our clients who are unable to pick up their Irish Wolfhound puppy in person, we offer safe and reliable shipping services. These Puppy Shipping Terms outline the process, responsibilities, and guarantees associated with shipping your puppy to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for both you and your new companion.

1. Shipping Options

We offer two primary shipping options for our Irish Wolfhound puppies:

A. Ground Transportation

Description: Your puppy will be transported by a professional pet transport service in a climate-controlled vehicle.
Availability: Ground transportation is available for clients within a 500-mile radius of our location.
Cost: The cost of ground transportation varies based on distance and will be calculated at the time of booking.

B. Air Transportation

Description: Your puppy will be flown to the nearest major airport in a USDA-approved airline pet carrier.
Availability: Air transportation is available for clients outside the 500-mile radius or those who prefer faster delivery.
Cost: The cost of air transportation includes the airline fee, health certificate, and carrier. A detailed quote will be provided at the time of booking.

2. Shipping Process

A. Booking and Scheduling

Once your puppy is ready to go home (typically at 8-10 weeks of age), we will coordinate with you to schedule the shipping date.
We require a signed copy of these Puppy Shipping Terms and a deposit to secure your booking.

B. Health Certificate

Before shipping, your puppy will be examined by a licensed veterinarian and issued a health certificate, as required by airlines and state regulations.
The health certificate confirms that your puppy is healthy and fit for travel.

C. Travel Preparation

Your puppy will be provided with a comfortable, USDA-approved airline pet carrier.
The carrier will include absorbent bedding, a water dish, and a small amount of food for the journey.
To ensure your puppy’s comfort, we will withhold food for 4-6 hours before travel (water will be provided until departure).

D. Travel Day

On the day of travel, we will provide you with real-time updates, including the flight number (for air transportation) or estimated arrival time (for ground transportation).
For air transportation, we will ensure your puppy is checked in and boarded safely.

E. Pickup at Destination

For air transportation, you will need to pick up your puppy at the designated airport cargo facility. Please bring a valid photo ID and a copy of the shipping confirmation.
For ground transportation, the driver will deliver your puppy directly to your home or a mutually agreed-upon location.

3. Shipping Costs

The cost of shipping your Irish Wolfhound puppy includes the following:

Airline or Transport Fee: Covers the cost of transportation.
Health Certificate: Issued by a licensed veterinarian.
Pet Carrier: A USDA-approved airline pet carrier.
Additional Fees: Any applicable taxes or surcharges.

A detailed invoice will be provided before shipping, and payment is due in full prior to departure.

4. Weather and Travel Conditions

The safety and well-being of your puppy are our top priorities. We closely monitor weather conditions and may delay shipping if extreme temperatures or severe weather pose a risk to your puppy’s health. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule the shipping date at no additional cost.

5. Health and Safety During Travel

A. Pre-Travel Health Check

Your puppy will receive a thorough health examination before travel to ensure they are fit for the journey.
We will provide you with a copy of the health certificate and vaccination records.

B. In-Transit Care

For air transportation, puppies are placed in a temperature-controlled and pressurized cargo area.
For ground transportation, puppies are transported in a climate-controlled vehicle with regular stops for water and comfort breaks.

C. Post-Travel Care

Upon arrival, your puppy may be tired and stressed from the journey. Provide a quiet, comfortable space for them to rest and adjust.
Offer water and a small amount of food, but avoid overfeeding.

6. Buyer Responsibilities

A. Preparation for Arrival

Ensure you have all necessary supplies, including food, water bowls, a crate, and bedding.
Puppy-proof your home to create a safe environment.

B. Pickup Coordination

Arrive at the airport or designated location on time to pick up your puppy.
Bring a valid photo ID and a copy of the shipping confirmation.

C. Post-Arrival Veterinary Visit

Schedule a veterinary examination within 72 hours of arrival to confirm your puppy’s health and address any concerns.

7. Shipping Guarantee

We guarantee that your puppy will arrive safely and in good health. In the unlikely event that your puppy becomes ill or injured during transit, we will cover the cost of veterinary treatment up to the purchase price of the puppy.

8. Limitations of Liability

While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of your puppy during travel, we cannot be held responsible for delays or cancellations caused by factors beyond our control, such as:

Airline delays or cancellations.
Severe weather conditions.
Acts of nature or other unforeseen circumstances.

9. Refunds and Rescheduling

A. Refunds

If you cancel your shipping booking, a refund will be issued minus a $100 administrative fee.
If we cancel the shipping due to health or safety concerns, a full refund will be issued.

B. Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule the shipping date, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance.
We will work with you to find a new date at no additional cost.

10. Communication and Support
